2019 UMSI Summit has ended
The theme for the UMSI Summit is “Partnering for the Kingdom,” with professional development tracks available for classical teachers, traditional teachers, administrators, family ministry practitioners, and program support faculty.

Returning to the 2019 UMSI Summit as keynote speaker is Dr. Kathy Koch, founder of Celebrate Kids, Inc.

This session will focus on three areas of intentional leadership: 1) remaining vision- and mission- focused in a culture prone to wander, 2) building and maintaining positive board relations, and 3) developing and empowering an administrative team.

Learning Objectives
1. Participants will identify the primary focus of their school's vision and mission as well as potential areas of mission drift. 
2. Participants will be equipped with techniques for remaining mission/vision focused. 
3. Participants will discuss challenges with the Head of School/Board relationships. 
4. Participants will learn how to maintain a positive relationship with the Board of Directors through effective communication. 
5. Participants will develop a five-year staffing plan.
6. Participants will learn how to identify, train, and retain qualified staff members.

This is hours two and three of a three-hour workshop.
